Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BoostEval collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our platform and services.

1. Introduction

BoostEval ("BoostEval", "we", "us", or "our") provides an online platform that enables organisations to administer employee performance evaluations. We are established and primarily operate in the Republic of Mali and also serve customers in other jurisdictions. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the personal information we handle in the course of providing the platform, website, and related services (the "Service"). For any question concerning this policy or our processing of your personal information, please contact us at contact@boosteval.com.

2. Scope

This policy applies to: • visitors to our website; • organisations and their authorised representatives who subscribe to the Service; • employees, managers, and executives who access the Service through their employer's account; and • individuals who contact us for support or other enquiries. Where an organisation uses the Service to evaluate its employees, that organisation determines the purposes and means of processing the related employee data and acts as the controller of such data. BoostEval processes that data on the organisation's behalf as a processor. In respect of data we collect for our own purposes — such as account, billing, and website-usage data — BoostEval acts as the controller.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

• Organisation registration: company name, address, industry, contact name and email, and logo; • Account details: your name, email address, job title, and department; • Service usage: evaluation responses, KPI scores, written feedback, and objective progress; • Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store payment card details; • Correspondence: information you provide when you contact us.

3.2 Information collected automatically

• technical data such as IP address, browser type, and navigation activity; • session information necessary to authenticate and maintain your session; • aggregated usage data used to monitor and improve the Service.

4. Purposes of Processing

We process personal information for the following purposes: • to provide, operate, and maintain the Service; • to administer accounts and communicate service-related information; • to process subscription payments through our payment provider; • to maintain the security and integrity of the Service and prevent misuse; • to analyse usage and improve the functionality of the Service; • to respond to enquiries and support requests; and • to send updates or marketing communications, where you have consented to receive them. We do not process personal information for advertising purposes, and we do not sell personal information.

5. Disclosure of Information

5.1 Within your organisation

Performance evaluation data is made available within your organisation on a role-based basis. Managers may access their team's evaluations, human-resources personnel may access organisation-wide data, and employees may access their own records. Data belonging to one organisation is never disclosed to another.

5.2 Legal disclosures

We may disclose personal information where we are required to do so by applicable law, and will notify affected individuals where we are permitted to do so.

5.3 No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected: • account and evaluation data is retained while the relevant account remains active; • following account closure, data is made available for export for a reasonable period before secure deletion; • billing records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law; • marketing contact details are retained until you unsubscribe or cease engagement. You may request earlier deletion by contacting contact@boosteval.com.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may exercise the following rights in respect of your personal information: • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you; • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; • Erasure — request deletion of your personal information; • Portability — receive your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format; • Restriction and objection — request that we restrict or cease certain processing; • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent to marketing communications or non-essential cookies at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@boosteval.com. Where your employer acts as the controller of your evaluation data, requests should in the first instance be directed to your employer; we will assist as appropriate.

8. Information Security

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including: • encryption of data in transit and at rest; • role-based access controls and strict separation of data between organisations; • secure, one-way hashing of passwords; • ongoing review of our security practices; and • notification of affected individuals in the event of a personal data breach, without undue delay.

9. International Transfers

Where personal information is transferred outside Mali — for example, in connection with cloud hosting — we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection frameworks.

10. Children

The Service is intended for professional, workplace use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If you believe we have done so, please contact us at contact@boosteval.com.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide notice by email or through the Service before they take effect.
